Reporting Verbs

We use Reporting Verbs when repeating the words of other people.

Direct Speech: Joseph-"It´s cold outside."  Reported Speech: Joseph said it was cold outside.

Direct Speech: Alex-"Happy Birthday Angela!"  Reported Speech: Alex congratulated Angela on her birthday.
